Coffee farmers around Mount Geulis Sumedang Regency since 2018 have formed a coordination container with the name of the Geulis mountain coffee farmer community abbreviated as "Koppi Guguls". They planted coffee under tree stands around Mount Geulis, while maintaining their trees in the coffee agroforestry model. The model (way) farming this agroforestry has changed the old habit of a vegetable planting (seasonal plant) which caused open land and turned to the agroforestry way of coffee by defending the trees to be used as a coffee plant. Now their coffee plants have been fruitful and have done twice harvesting. Armed with the knowledge they get from the training of PPM Activities Lecturer Sith ITB, they practiced them in the field starting from aquaculture aspects, harvesting techniques and coffee processing and product packaging. From the first and second crops, the quality of coffee from Kopppi Gugeals is still unable to compete because the quality of the coffee is still low. Efforts to improve skills to process coffee beans continue to be carried out by SITH lecturers through the PPM program, especially in the aspects of the postharvest processing technique, one of which is the drying method of coffee fruit. The process of drying coffee fruit is a very important process that affects the quality of coffee beans that will be processed further. During this time the KOPPI GULULS group did not have adequate coffee fruit drying facilities. The drying process is done by drying coffee in the open, in the hot sun. The drying process of coffee by drafting in a turtle is difficult to do in the Master's season. To overcome this, the PPM Sith team tried to provide a solution by training they designed a good coffee fruit dryer building and built a green house coffee dryer by applying the principle of energy-saving and environmentally friendly abbreviated as "Herang". Energy saving by relying on solar light without electricity, using available and cheap materials and environmentally friendly. The purpose of PPM is (1) increasing the knowledge and skills of coffee farmers in impencing a coffee dryer building that is efficient and effective in the drying process of coffee fruit, as well as (2) building a Green Haouse unit "Herang" as a building where the coffee drying process is. With the construction of the green house coffee dryer, it is expected that the quality of processed coffee from KOPPI Gatherers is increasing and can compete in the market.
