Pharmacists have been involved in increasing community knowledge in the health sector through Puskesmas in Lombok. One of them is the Nipah Health Center, Malacca Village, Malacca Village, North Lombok Regency and West Nusa Tenggara Province. The community service activity in North Lombok is a continuation of 2022 which focuses on self -medication and food safety. For this year 2023, community service aims to increase community knowledge and behavior related to how to choose and use traditional medicine and cosmetic products that are safe for health so that the people of West Lombok have an adequate understanding of the understanding of traditional and cosmetic medicine; Choose the type; Having an increase in behavior in using traditional medicine and cosmetics to provide optimal benefits and have an understanding of how to sort between traditional and registered and illegal cosmetic products on the market.
The collaboration of activities in 2023 was expanded with cross -faculty faculties from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design. MBKM students involved consist of pharmacy students and FSRD students. Mataram University and West Nusa Tenggara Health Office are still collaborators for this activity. The questionnaires have been obtained as many as 235 respondents regarding the knowledge of ITB students, UNRAM students, and the community regarding traditional medicine and cosmetics, the preparation of the training module has been adjusted to the information or data obtained. Module topics include: Knowledge of traditional medicine and safe cosmetics. The use of rational traditional medicine and safe use of cosmetics. Then proceed with the training of health cadres as a pharmacist partner as many as 20 people from various puskesmas in North Lombok, & nbsp; the expected output is an activity report, increasing health cadre knowledge, published in the mass media and & nbsp; has been disseminated at the International Seminar on Asomps 2023 as an oral presenter.
Additional Objectives: In this community service, a draft paper has been successfully made for publication in the Sinta 2 National Journal.; Identifying knowledge and behaviors related to how to choose and use traditional medicine and safe and legal cosmetic products to students and the general public in the Bandung and Lombok areas; Distribution of Health Packages and Training of Health Cadres in Lombok; Publication in the mass media; Dissemination at international seminars
