Activity Summary

This community service activity aims to suppress the prevalence of hepatitis B (HEP-B) in health workers, pregnant women and children aged 0-12 years in Tanjung Village, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara as one of the regions 3T in Indonesia. This activity is also one of the initiation of activities in welcoming World Hepatitis Day on July 28, 2023.

The approach used in this activity is pharmacology and non-pharmacology by socializing health workers, pregnant women and parents who have children with the age range of 0-12 years in Increase knowledge, both basic knowledge about hepatitis as well as health promotion as the beginning of prevention that must be done incessantly so that it can include as many people as possible to increase demand ( demand generation ) for Hepatitis B prevention and control services in various ways, one of which is counseling to the general public that will be delivered by the service team and Expertise Hep-B from PT. Biofarma, (Persero).

This community service activity is expected to be able to support sustainable synergistic cooperation between institutions, namely between ITB and PT. Biofarma, (Persero) which combines two related programs, namely the Community Service program Botttom up from ITB and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT. Biofarma, the company with vaccination to health workers and midwives because the frontline in serving health for the community needs to understand and be aware of dangerous hepatitis and midwives is also the first time in contact with newborns, which must be directly given by hepatitis vaccines.

This service program also supports: a) The Ministry of Health Program regarding "National Action Plan for Hepatitis Control of 2020-2024", b) Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 53 of 2015 concerning Management of Virus Hepatitis, and c) Regional Regulation of West Nusa Tengara Province Number 4 of 2017 concerning the Quality of Health Services.

The Community Service Team is a KK and F/S collaborative team, which includes a lecturer from KK Humanitarian Sciences (KKIK) FSRD ITB and a lecturer from Pharmaceutical Biology KK, Pharmacy School (SF) ITB. The MBKM students who will be involved are one student from the FTTM Mining Engineering Study Program, one student from Industrial Engineering, FTI and one research assistant from the FSRD ITB Visual Communication Design (DKV), so that this service activity can be seen from various scientific clump perspectives, namely from science and from health science and supported from other scholarship.



Target

This assistance activity is to provide education and science to health workers, pregnant women and parents who have children with the age range of 0-12 years about preventive efforts to spread hepatitis B in children both with pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. Not only that, the purpose of this dedication activity is also to provide health screening to students at the Muslim Madani Foundation in Tanjung Village, North Lombok Regency, the provision of free vitamins as a form of concern for the service team to increase child immunity after Pandemi Covid-19 and the provision of HEP-B vaccination to health workers Which often side by side with newborns, as well as people who have Hep-B disease.
