Activity Summary

The existence of Covid 19 events from the public of 2020 Secaratidak directly has the potential to disrupt the availability, stability, and food access. To help the community, the Community Service Team (PPM) ITB conducted training and coaching to the community through the activities of utilizing land with various plants and raising livestock / fish in an integrated (Integratedfarming System) to fulfill the fulfillment of family food needs. This is in line with one of the strategies for the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture to face the Covid-19 pandemic which is optimizing the ground land with food crops for food needs. Family Food Security At the time and after the Pandemic of Covid-19 became important to support sufficient food availability to fulfill food needs at the same time to remind the body's immunity of family members, both from the number, quality, diversity, and affordability or ease of obtaining them. In the activities, members The group of female farmers was given direction and practice of farming on the yard ranging from the manufacture of planting media, how to cultivate plants organically by utilizing household waste and chicken manure, harvest and post-harvest. In addition to training in the use of the Integrated Farming System land, at the request of a group of female farmers (KWT), the PPM team provides training on various processed agricultural products produced by KWT members such as processing cassava into mocaf (Modified Cassava Flour) and its derivative products (various cakes ) Also sweet potato processing becomes dodol, sponge cake and sweet potato keremes and turmeric processing and instant ginger. This PPM program synergizes with the Rancakalong District program, the "Rancakalong Sharing" program. The implementation of the PPM program was fully supported by the sub-district head of Rancakalong District, Mr. Head of Uptd Agriculture and PPL, Rancakalong Subdistrict, Mr. and Mrs. Village Head and community leaders. Hopefully the activities carried out during this PPM program can continue to be carried out consistently and continuously by farm female groups.
