People's forest has an important role in increasing the income of society (economic) and ecological (environment). The technique of productive inalators must continue to be integrated in the community, so that in the community forest management system there is a balance between land productivity and environmental conditions. Community understanding of the use of seeds and the value of wood and non-timber benefits is still low due to the internal and external influence of the community in the cultivation of productive people's forests. PPM activities are carried out in order to transfer knowledge, insights, innovations and care groups with interes on the development of seeds, wood and non-timber as actors in community forest cultivation to eliminate internal, external and cempetensi factors in the community forest management system. The method used in PPM is: Training methods for participants or community groups that have matters of life as community forest farmers. The stages of activities in community service activities include: (1). Determination of prospective participants; (2). Data collection of prospective participants; (3). PPM socialization in prospective participants; (4). Preparation of the module / training material; (5). Implementation of training; (6). Provision of nursery facilities for community forest farmer groups. PPM was held on November 6, 2021 at the Geulis Mountain Communication Forum, Jatiroke Village, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency. Training participants are involved with the background of iteres in forest plant cultivation techniques and interes also in the forest plant cultivation product process. The selected material in the implementation of PPM, namely: (1) Bamboo propagation techniques as elements of community forests for forest patterned agroforestry for the "People's Industrial" Mountain Community Material (Speaker: Dr. Sopandi Sunarya; Moderator: Dr. Sutrisno); (2) Diversification of Bamboo Products Through Laminated Technology in Efforts to Empower Communities Around Mount Geulis Educational Forest Areas (Presentation: Dr. Yoyo Suhaya; Moderator: Eka Mulya Alamsyah, PhD). Important effects on the implementation of PPM, participants have the hope of being able to suffer bamboo seeds for planting bamboo arboretum on land around where they live.
Activity
Can stimulate the community to be able to print bamboo seeds and benefit bamboo for the environment and the economy of the community in order to be able to eliminate community's intraction to the Sisem of KHDTK-ITB forest education forest Mount Geulis. Another benefit stimulates the community to be able to cultivate bamboo in order to be able to choose the environment of the village of Jatiroke to avoid environmental disasters due to legalized land that is less supportive of the maintenance of the environment and land degradation
