Lake Maninjau is a lake in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The community around Lake Maninjau has a major lawyalaan as a fish farmer using floating net cord method. Every year floating net cord activities are increasing and uncontrollable. The high population of this cage will cause several problems, including: Accumulation of the inorganic substance of the remaining feed affects the quality of the lake environment in the form of sedimentation at the bottom of the lake, a decrease in water and air quality. When the current pattern increases will cause turbidity and turnover of toxic substances of the remaining feed so that fish death will occur in bulk which will then reduce the productivity of fish cages significantly increasing the phenomenon of mass fish death becomes more than three times a year In order to solve this problem, LPPM ITB cooperates with the Regional Government of Agam and he ITB provides several alternative solutions including agro-industrial-based entrepreneurial growth. The two main topics provided are oyster mushroom cultivation and manufacture of sedimentary fertilizers from local natural resources. The program covers the activities of oyster mushroom cultivation and the manufacture of sediment fertilizers with the main participants is the pupung net cage farmers. Furthermore, participants are given tools and materials used during training in order to start their own activities. To participants who are interested in cultivation given assistance by a successful fungal farmer, then a capital injection is given. In addition, the controlling and evaluation process is carried out as input material. The main output expected of this program is an oyster mushroom business center.
Implementation of social care activities in the form of education / counseling / mentoring, pioneering business groups and SME development
