Development of the Capital City (IKN) is a project aimed at moving the Indonesian government center from Jakarta to a new region. This step was taken to overcome various problems that have long been faced by Jakarta, such as traffic jams, floods and environmental degradation. IKN development is one of the strategic priority projects listed in the 2020-2024 RPJMN. Nominal Indications for IKN Funding Needs listed in the 2020-2024 RPJMN. The IKN development project is also faced with a number of challenges, such as equitable infrastructure development for the surrounding area, including meeting water needs. One of the classic problems in regions that have not developed much economically is the development of water potential that can be utilized optimally. In this case, the use of ground water is one alternative solution to meet the water needs of residents continuously throughout the year. For this reason, direct handling and appropriate technology applications are needed. Relevant technology applications include the application of geophysical scientific groundwater exploration technology using the physical properties of rocks below the surface to determine the location of the groundwater aquifer.
The purpose of this activity is to implement drilling technology and geophysical exploration methods to obtain clean water in the IKN area, especially Bukit Raya Village, Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan Province
The benefits of activities for KK/FS/ITB are as a vehicle for implementing the scientific field in the form of real infrastructure and can be utilized directly by the community. Clean water is a daily necessity, where fulfillment contributes to the achievements of SDGs No.6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and No.11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities)
