The activity carried out in 2023 is a continuation of the activities that have been funded by the ITB community service program in 2018-2022. The location of this community service is Pasirwaru Village in Cinangsi Village, Cikalong Kulon District, Cianjur Regency. Cinangsi Village is a village located in the Citarum watershed (DAS) which is the largest watershed in West Java. In the 2023 community service activities, the provision of clean water facilities was provided in the form of communal baths. The activities carried out include (1) conducting a survey and observation of the location and needs of the construction of clean water facilities at the location of the activity, (2) socialization related to the planned community service activities to the surrounding population, and (3) sustainable assistance related to good sanitation habits for local people. The purpose of this community service is to increase access to clean water in Cinangsi Village so that the domestic activities of the community can be carried out well and can create good health conditions and the environment. With this activity, public awareness to get used to a cleaner and healthier lifestyle. In addition, this activity is expected to be a pilot for other regions around the village of Cinangsi so that the resulting impact can be wider. The Pasirwaru village community will play an important role in this activity, because this activity will involve the community as the spearhead. In the 2023 community service will also involve students from the Environmental Engineering Study Program and Environmental Infrastructure Engineering both who take the Merdeka Campus public course or not. The output of this community service activity is in the form of public sanitation facilities built in Pasirwaru Village, Cinangsi Village.
