A total of 8 RWs in Mekar Mekar Village, Bandung, live from IKM iron craftsmen agricultural equipment. In 2017, the government established a revision of SNI for agricultural tools, especially hoes, namely SNI 0331: 2018. In 2017 hoe needs are mostly imported from abroad with an import quota of 1.5 million hoe leaves. The results of the survey conducted by the LPPM team in the previous community service program in 2015 found that hoes produced by IKM village in advancing (and generally in Indonesia) were then known to have not fulfilled SNI. Based on information from the Ministry of Industry, it is known that none of the IKM is smart and iron craftsmen in Indonesia who already have SNI for agricultural products, especially hoes. SNI is not fulfilled mainly due to the use of steel plate as a hoe raw material and an inappropriate production process. Community service program for IKM iron craftsmen in the village of Mekar advances by fostering and guiding these IKMs in determining steel plate materials and the right production process to meet SNI
Activity
With the knowledge of producing hoes in accordance with SNI hoes, it is expected that the product of IKMarmaju IKMaju IKMaju is acceptable and sold widely and entered the e-catalog. The quality of hoe products is also expected to compete with imported products. SNI hoes who are then offered through e-catalogs can increase the volume of order. In turn it will improve the welfare of the people of Mekarmaju Village in general.
