Poseidon 2023: Empowerment of Coastal Community through Education and coastal conservation
Poseidon 2023 activities held by HMO" Triton "ITB have been held in Mundu Pesisir Village, Cirebon Regency, West Java on October 13 to November 25, 2023. This activity aims to introduce Oceanography to elementary, middle school students First, upper middle, and equivalent, as well as providing education about the importance of maintaining mangrove ecosystems to the wider community.
This activity consists of various series of activities, namely:
This coastal school activity aims to provide understanding to students about the importance of marine and coastal ecosystems, the dangers of plastic waste, how to protect the sea and coast marine and coastal disasters. This activity was attended by 100 students from 3 schools in the Mundu Pesisir Village.
This mangrove planting activity aims to increase public awareness about the importance of mangroves as coastal protector ecosystems. This activity was attended by 40 students from 2 schools in the village Mundu Coastal.
This Ecobrick Making Activities aims to reduce the amount of plastic waste. This activity was attended by 40 students from 1 school in Mundu Village. >
This promotional activity aims to introduce the Mangrove Zone Ecotourism Forest for the wider community. This activity is carried out through social media and mass media. P>
This sea water quality survey activity aims to find out environmental conditions in Mundu Coastal Village.
From the various series of activities, it can be concluded that Poseidon 2023 activities have achieved the targets set.
