The Flores Sea Earthquake that occurred on December 14 2021 shocked the residents of Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi, especially on Kalaotoa Island and Madu Island which are part of Pasilambena District. A community service program funded by LPPM ITB through a Bottom-Up scheme has been implemented in 2023 to increase public awareness of the vulnerability of the Selayar Islands Regency area to earthquake disasters. Through art-based research or art-based methods as well as general observations of the Selayar Island environment, a prototype of a children's educational book has been created, socialized, and given to SDI 112 Benteng Timur in August 2023 through the 2023 LPPM ITB Bottom-Up Community Service funding. In 2024, the program will continue with the production of children's books which have gone through an evaluation process in terms of design, grammar and writing. A total of 100 copies of the book have been produced with the digital version open to the public via the ITB Press Free Books page: https://www.itbpress.id/buku-gratis/#flipbook-df_28557/1/
