Microbial fuel cells are devices directly produce electricity by changing energy chemicals contained in organic substances with the help of microorganisms. The application of Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) can be a solution to temporarily produce sustainable clean energy while processing wastewater. This study aims to determine the performance of the MFC using liquid waste and pome as a substrate. The strength and current density produced by POME higher than liquid waste knows because of its organic content in higher POME, resulting in bacteria using more substrates and producing more protons and electrons; Therefore, increasing power and current. MFC proves its ability to process liquid tofu and pome waste. Liquid tofu and POME waste can be utilized to produce electricity by using microbial fuel cells (MFC) as a sustainable and clean energy source. MFC is able to produce an open circuit (OCV) up to 876 MV. Pome as a substrate provides better performance than told water tofu water.
