Activity Summary

This community service research is intended to increase the continuity of club activities - The astronomical club in Indonesia in this case as a trial we conducted on the association of amateur astronomers Jakarta (HAAJ). Citizen Science Project such as Galaxy Zoo, which has been successfully implemented in the United States gives us fresh ideas to be carried out in Indonesia. The participation of the community in scientific research has an important impact on increasing awareness and community knowledge, in addition to increasing the performance of researchers in data collection. We expect the success of this project will also penetrate to other astronomical clubs in Indonesia and open a good research cooperation between researchers at ITB with community components. In this year's pandemic period various activities can be carried out by online. The process of community service research activities was also carried out online from 29 August 2002 to 17 October 2020 with online media zoom. Activities were attended by around 40 participants who were mostly members of the Amateur Astronomer Association (HAAJ) and also several amateur astronomers in various cities in Indonesia. The activity process is carried out in the form of a online workshop and is held every Saturday at 14-16 WIB.
