Since 2009, through the International Year of Astronomy (yes), a simple telescope assembly activity similar to the telescope used by Galileo Galilei 400 years ago, was campaigned throughout the world. Indonesia in collaboration with Japan refers to the workshop activities You are galileo! which was carried out in 5 major cities of various provinces and involved 200 educators, especially the high school level teachers. This activity received a very positive response and educators felt the need for this activity continued. Another impact is the desire of schools to look for optical components and telescopes to then try to produce themselves. On March 9, 2016 a rare natural event, the total solar eclipse crossed 10 provinces in Indonesia. In collaboration with FMIPA Mulawarman University, East Kalimantan, activities that have been carried out in Samarinda by using 25 telescope kits distributed and assembled. Telescope assembly activities carried out by the Indonesian team (Bandung Institute of Technology) in collaboration with the Japanese Team (National Astronomical Observatory of Japan). East Kalimantan Province was chosen because of its continuous commitment to the activities of fostering students in the framework of the science olympiad at the provincial and national levels, but did not have the critical mass of the Olympic Trustees who were equipped with standard equipment in teaching, especially the practice of observation. High school teachers The average physics subject is responsible for coaching in the field of physics, astronomy and worship. The majority of teachers are not equipped with optical equipment for the practice of observation of astronomical objects such as sun, planets, months and stars. By using the telescope kit You are galileo! (40 mm diameter, focal length of 273 mm) on 11-12 March 2016, after the incident of the total solar eclipse, the workshop activity ouou is galileo! on the campus of Mulawarman University, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This workshop and public lecture are actively followed by participants, with systematic observations of bright astronomical objects and is easily found in the sky along the dry months of the dry season (June-August). The results of the next observation will be poured in a paperwork, after the entire round of observation activities, will be evaluated by the team. This activity will be attended by 25 participants including a combination of high school physics teachers, laboran and college lecturers in East Kalimantan Province.
