Trend forecasting is the practice of predicting which style will be accepted by the general public. Trend predictions are not objective truths; But it is influenced by various developing conditions. Trend predictions are applied to a larger scale, can create a lot of distortion created. For example, the influence of local culture adopted in a society is one of the factors that can give birth to distortion. Forecasts the resulting trend has not been able to reach various creative individuals in Indonesia; These difficulties can be due to socialization, which is a factor through a comprehensive approach in all related stakeholders. Communicating content contained in trend reports is also a challenge, it is necessary to be a grammar that can be understood by each layer. Indonesia is very diverse, applying it to all the country's creative industries is a very challenging task, aware of the complexity of the problem, this activity aims to build a mechanism to predict trends in the Kriya sector only. This study tries to enter local culture as one of the drivers of trends, with the intention of producing a more acceptable trend reading, both in terms of delivery to designers, entrepreneurs, and craftsmen in the Kriya sector.
