Activity Summary

The Lopo Podcast Culture House in South Central Timor (Soe), East Nusa Tenggara, is a cultural preservation initiative that integrates local traditions with modern technology. The main focus is preserving the Bonet Dance and the local wisdom of the Atoin Meto people, which are currently threatened by changing times. Through the podcast platform, traditional art, stories and music are revived and made accessible to future generations, both locally and globally.

This cultural house is not only a place for art training, but also a collaboration space for local artists to create new works that remain rooted in Timor's cultural identity. Activities include archiving traditions, regular training, and artistic performances that bring people closer to the heritage of their ancestors. The local community is the main actor in managing this cultural house, ensuring the continuity of traditions through active participation.

With the support of digital technology and modern marketing strategies, the Lopo Podcast Culture House is expected to not only preserve culture, but also increase its appeal as a unique cultural tourism destination. This initiative is a strategic step to maintain the sustainability of South Central Timor culture while strengthening the cultural identity of the archipelago in facing the challenges of the modern era.
