Activity Summary

Analog TV is still a preferred choice of people living in rural and remote areas. The Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) as a public broadcasting regulatory body still needs to monitor this content of local TV shows to ensure they comply with regulations. The aim in this activity designed and developed a system to help capture local TV stations monitored by KPID using the software-defined radio (SDR) platform. The main components used to be able to capture TV signals, namely, Dr. Hardware (antenna and Hackrf One in this case) and processing software (Hackrf One firmware and a decent computer with SDR # installed). This project is successful to be able to decode TV signal, control (change frequency) remotely. This makes it easy for use, instead of changing the station file by inputting the frequency manually every user wants to monitor a particular TV station, the NetRemote plugin has been modified to display the channel name. Keywords: Analog TV, SDR, Hackrf, Rural and Remote Areas.
