Garbage has become a rooted problem in the village of Kebonturi. In this village, the community not only has a habit of littering, but also managing it carelessly. Garbage burned unfortunately has become a common sight around this village. In fact, in terms of infrastructure, the village of Kebonturi has been equipped by the local government a landfill (TPS). It's just that the Village Head of Kebonturi acknowledged that this village lacked human resources, and also financially to manage waste well and consistently. Based on that concern, it was designed a solution in the form of "Community-Centric Waste Bank", an effort to manage waste from, by, and for the village community that will convert waste into added-value for the parties involved.
This activity involved 80 villagers who actively participated in a series of activities of the first day namely the socialization of waste management and eco-brick implementation and the second day of activities, namely the implementation of composting and the garbage bank simulation .
Hands-on Implementation of Eco-Brick and Composting; Provide knowledge of waste management for the community; Provide socialization of garbage bank simulations for the community
Can educate and increase the awareness of the village community to manage waste. This will have an impact on the global implementation of Circular Economy.
