The high number of road accidents in a series of crossings is one of the serious problems faced by PT KAI. The warning system consisting of active and passive systems currently available is not able to support the behavioral aspects of road users in making decisions. Therefore, the safety of road users needs to be evaluated through the assessment of factors that influence non-compliance. This study aims to help PT KAI (Daop 2) and the Regional Government (Bandung City) in understanding road user behavior at a number of railroad crossing. The observation results can be used to establish the right strategy in minimizing the risk of accidents at the crossroads. This study was carried out by recording road user behavior (using a video camera) at two crossroads in the morning and evening, and on weekdays and holidays. The results of this study showed the biggest violations carried out by motorcyclists (for example lifting cross-door crossing, against the flow, continuing to run even though the signal was already active). As many as 60 - 76% of violations were carried out by motorists, while 2-8% of violations were carried out by motorists 4. Based on interviews with the intersection guard officers and data analysis obtained conclusions there were a number of approaches that could be done in reducing the risk of accidents, including repairs The quality of the signal, changing the crossing door in accordance with the standard, improving road quality so that it is long ago to get more short, and enforce regulations through an active and passive approach.
