Activity Summary

Product marketing via social media is the easiest and cheapest marketing strategy compared to conventional strategies because you don't have to have a physical shop. However, business actors need a good understanding of strategies for using social media to successfully attract customers. The main aim of this community service is to educate MSME entrepreneurs in Manggar, East Belitung so they can compete in the digital market. This community service method is in the form of FGD methods, lectures (training) and discussions. The strategies provided include an understanding of market temperature, posting, giveaway and list building. It is hoped that after this training, MSMEs in Manggar, East Belitung can increase their sales. Apart from that, their products will be widely known, not only in the national market but also in the international market



Target

Increase the knowledge, insight and skills of MSME actors in using social media. Educate MSMEs to be able to utilize technology, especially in marketing products via social media. Increase sales of MSME products in Manggar, East Belitung Regency. Helping economic recovery in Manggar, East Belitung Regency.



Testimonials

It is hoped that this activity will be in line with the roadmap of the ITB Human Sciences Expertise Group for implementation in 2024, namely strengthening MSMEs in the creative/food industry after the pandemic. Community Service in the form of this training is expected to be able to support 3 (three) things: Implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Human Sciences Expertise Group Work Program, FSRD 2024, Research, Community Service and Innovation Program (PPMI) 2024 Bandung Institute of Technology. It is hoped that the presence of participants from MSME players, government representatives and local community organizations will strengthen the existence of good pentahelix cooperation between business actors, government, academics and community organizations which will really help the progress and existence of culinary MSMEs in East Belitung.
