Based on statistical data from NTT Province in 2020, the province's fish catch is around 182,350 tons per year, so it can be predicted that Ngada Regency will produce around 5,911 tons of fish per year with an average selling value of caught fish of IDR 10,000 – IDR 20,000 per kg depending on the type. fish. Cold storage technology is able to maintain the temperature in the storage room for caught fish at 2oC to 00C so that it can extend shelf life, maintain quality, increase the marketability of caught fish, as well as reduce the risk of loss to fishermen and the potential for accumulation of waste due to damage or rottenness of the catch.
