Activity Summary

"The condition of Pandemic Covid-19 has resulted in various sectors in the field of tourism to be downturn. This is the case The term walkability comes from the word ""walkable"" which means ""appropriate and can be used for walking"". To implement the concept of walkability, physical infrastructure is needed that encourages pedestrians to think that walking is one of the adequate modes of transportation in the city. This is done by paying attention to the components in the concept of walkability. Perceived safety by pedestrians is one of the most important components for walkability. The lighting component is referred to as a component that illustrates safety (safety) on the walkability index. Therefore, public lighting is very important to be provided and designed for pedestrians. The city of Bandung, especially the Braga and Dago Block will be a case study of this activity. Both of these blocks are included in the tourist zone, trade and cultural heritage. The public lighting design in the two corridors looks more organized compared to other roads in the city of Bandung. However, previous research states that pedestrians still have concerns about the lighting available in the road corridor, especially at night. Therefore, this activity will identify the problem of public space at night in the corridor of Jl. Braga and Jl. Ir. H. Juanda (Dago) and evaluate the condition of ecisting using lighting assessment. This community service activity was carried out for 10 months in 2022 involving four researchers and a student. The implementation of this activity will be divided into five stages. Starting with the problem identification stage, the preparation of criteria and indicators of ""Night-Time Walkability"", data collection (field observations, interviews and literature review), data processing quantitatively and qualitatively and finally wrote the results of this activity. The output of this activity is in the form of scientific articles published in mass articles. This activity can be used as a preliminary study to find a problem foundation that actually hampered the implementation of the concept of night-time walkability and the significance of urban space lighting in supporting the application of night-time walkability, especially in the corridor Jl. Braga and Jl. Ir. H. Juanda, Bandung. It is hoped that this activity will trigger further activities with similar topics, so that it can finally contribute directly to the condition of Bandung that is safe, comfortable and in each area has an attraction at night for pedestrians (especially tourist areas and conservation). T because it does not allow tourism activities to be carried out. For the tourism industry such as in the East Nusa Tenggara region, the condition of Pandemic Covid-19 greatly hit the economy of its people. Whereas one of the NTT regional development missions is to increase tourism development in the context of empowering the people's economy. Building NTT as one of the gates and the National Tourism Development Center (New Tourism Teritory). The mission was difficult to realize throughout 2021. Based on the results of the evaluation, digital transfoemation is needed in the process of promotion and weaving sales. Therefore, in this activity it was decided to create a website that can provide information about weaving in South Central Timor Regency, as well as providing a place for weavers and online weaving sellers by preparing the Instagram link of sellers and weavers. This can increase their sales which have an impact on improving the economy. The website created by www.tenuntimortengahselatan.com. Contains knowledge about weaving in the South Central Timor region and Instagram of the weavers and sellers. The existence of this website was welcomed by the Head of the South Central Timor Tourism Office and the weavers."
