This community service is carried out by ergonomic expertise group, about work and work safety engineering (KK ERK3). The purpose of this service is, the safety of highway transportation, work safety in the construction sector, and the product of the Oergonomic (Ergonomic Sonsumer Products). The human element (driver) plays an important role in every incidence of accidents on highways, fatigue, sleepiness, and vigilance are important factors that influence the readiness of the driver in controlling vehicles. Methods used by simulators that have been developed at the Work System & Ergonomics Engineering Laboratory (RSHE). The purpose of this study examines fatigue while driving vehicles with results that show that drivers who experience fatigue and sleepiness are characterized by changes in EEG parameters (especially teta waves, and ratio) and changes in the oculomotor parameters (especially peak velocity). The effectiveness of the use of peppermint, rosemary, and basil aromas to increase the alertness and performance of driving. The results show that the aroma in the steering room is used to reduce drowsiness and increase the vigilance of the driver, although in this study it is not examined by the level of intensity (degree) of each fragrance. Effect of carbohydrate levels of food intake on driving performance and vigilance. The result shows carbohydrate levels on food intake affect the level of sleepiness of the driver. Keywords: Fatigue, Driving, Transportation Safety.
