Abstract.This paper examines the disruptive aspects that occur in the creative process as a result of advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology. With the development of generative AI such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), a fundamental shift has taken place in the creative process. This transition and transformation alter the workflow of artists and question the role of humans as creators of art. The author highlights memory as a primary element of human characteristics in the creation of a work. Human memory, which is neuronal in nature, is contrasted with artificial memory based on binary mechanisms that underpin AI functionality. The interactive nature of this exchange transforms memory from a fixed concept into a regenerative construct that is fluid and flexible, depending on the context. The result of this interaction is a simulacral dimension that incorporates a recomposition of neuronal and artificial memory. This research aligns with Jean Baudrillard's concept of the hyperreal, which addresses the paradox of pseudo-constructions of reality derived from an existence that never truly was. The collaborative process between the artist and AI, conducted in 14 stages, demonstrates that in the era of generative artificial intelligence, the integration of non-human memory becomes an element that is difficult to avoid. The author concludes that the artistic process must consider the aspect of reinvocation as a prerequisite marker of artworks created by humans.
